The Mars, Uranus, Algol conjunction of July 2024
The birth of Pegasus & Chrysaor and the assassination attempt of Donald Trump?
I have been taking a hiatus from posting articles because of ongoing health issues, but I just found this draft sitting in my Dashboard that I wrote right before the assassination attempt on Donald Trump in July 2024. I never finished it but it certainly is interesting reading it from the perspective of a rear view mirror.
Original Draft written on July 12th, 2024:
Right now, and through July 16th and 17th, Mars is making a conjunction with Uranus and a little talked about star called Algol - all in the sign of Taurus.
There has been much talk for months about the middle of July amongst the astrology community and the Mars, Uranus and Algol conjunction. Some predictions have been foreboding, some of have been more positive. My reading of this energy is a mix of both. Ultimately, as I have said before and continue to observe, any transit involving Uranus is ultimately for the highest good.
In astrology, Algol is a fixed star that is associated with violence, death, and misfortune. It's also known as "the Gorgon of Perseus". Algol represents Medusa's head.
Mars represents energy, action, ambition, aggression violence and war. It is the symbol for masculinity.
Uranus is an outer planet which brings unexpected events and information which break us out of perceived reality. It shakes us up and brings change. It brings revolution throughout communities and ultimately brings freedom.
On the 16th, the moon wiill form an opposition to Mars/Uranus/Algol at 26 degrees of Scorpio, along with a trine with the sun in Cancer and a trine with Neptune in Pisces.
When the moon in Scorpio makes the opposition, the emotional enormity of the Mars/Uranus/Algol conjunction will sweep across the collective mood. Emotional reactions will be intense as we process and organize our feelings. The harmonious angle with the Sun in Cancer brings with it an awareness of a great sense of security and Patriotism.
Algol and the myth of Perseus, Medusa, Chrysaor and Pegasus
Medusa was a Gorgon who, after being repeatedly raped, became a monster. Whomever looked at her turned to stone. It is said that when Perseus slayed Medusa, her children Pegasus and Chrysaor were born.
Pegasus is a symbol of inspiration, creativity, and heroism. The spring Hippocrene, created from a hoofprint of Pegasus, was said to inspire the Muses, goddesses of the arts.
Chrysaor was more mysterious and had a very minor role in Greek Mythology, but it was said that he was a giant soldier with a golden sword.
